5:30 Car rental, with a statless tire heading from Yokohama to Nikko. Although the capital city was a bit crowded, it is sometimes a weekday, so gradually running out of the city center is easy. Depending on the amount of snow around the Nikko station, I decided to decide where to park the car and where to start climbing.

Arrived at Nikko around 8:30. Since there was almost no snow around Nikko station, I thought that it might be possible to go to the area around Takio shrine by car, I really could. It was not surprising to wear an eisen from this point last year, but this year it goes as it is with climbing shoes because both snow and ice are not on the road surface. I started climbing around 9 o’clock. I was excited because there were more stories that parked cars around the Takinoo Shrine and around the gate there and annoying local people. A quite a few cars were parked around the gate above even on weekdays.

It was quite hard to keep walking along the forest road with mountain shoes. The route is confusing. At the gate it branches into Y letters. After putting the mountain plan into the post, it seems to advance the road on the right side, so it is under construction. Cross the bridge of the Inari river and go and return. By chance, the local people who were coming to the Yunlong valley many times were walking. While under construction, I intended to walk along the river without crossing the bridge. I decided to go with the letter Y to the left side road. I walked all the time. Protective walls of concrete look like ruins. I had a little break at the Inari Shimokawa Observation Deck. My back was about to get cold as I sweated.

I walked all the way to the core. There was a snow part where I could walk with an eizen, a sunny part was good and the soil was exposed, there was a trace that hurt the tree root and it was painful. Walk while finding a pink tape wrapped in trees.

Arrived at the dong rock. From here we will negotiate a river that passes through rocks. The flow of the river was fast. I climbed rocks like a little hill and decided to install the aisen and use the stock. There are quite a lot of negotiation points, and carefully proceed so as not to fall into the water. Use the stock effectively. The ice pillar is appearing more and more and the feeling is high.

Wrap around the backside of the waterfall as it was on the cover of mountains and valleys. As it was already quite warm, the ice collapsed and collapsed lying like a pillar of the temple of Athens. It was impressive that it was very thick. Sometimes, I heard Dawson and the sound that collapsed. Perhaps, it will be about time to step in. Depending on the location, you can see the water flowing in the back side of the ice. I enjoyed the wonderful landscape. The appearance of winter is cold, but for that reason, there are many elements to enjoy and the tranquility is very good.

Three people climbed Unryu falls. Unryu falls seems to be smaller than usual, but still there was quite a lot of force. The road before reaching this main circle was quite thin, it was hard to avoid those going and coming, and it seems necessary to be careful as the road was slightly poor. Perhaps, I think that the snow melted the moisture. I started walking to the returning route from around 13:00 after returning to a little place and taking lunch.

Arrived at Takio Shrine around 15:00. I walked quite a distance with my hiking shoes, so my legs got very tired. To the place called Nikko Onsen in the area around Nikko Station. It’s really a local hot spring. There was a scene where the uncle would be noticed if you did not wait for the washroom and it was hard to feel angry if you do not listen to the local uncle story. The hot water is pretty hot. . I would like to go to Nikko station hotel next time if there is opportunity.
